Every photo here at the moment was taken with the Fuji. I had an XT-10 before this that was stolen. Aside from the
increase in MP there, there are some improvements. The biggest software difference is the inclusion of a level meter when
shooting. So many photos I take end up all wack-a-job cause I took them crooked. It also has an ISO dial on the outside and
I don't believe the XT-1 did. Which is related to my one problem with this camera and it's minor. The ISO dial sits atop another
which changes the shooting style from single, to burst, to panorama, etc. I've changed the ISO and ended up with shooting 3 shots quite often.
As you'll see I'm mostly using older, Russian lenses at the moment which are usually an M42. So I use a converter and manually focus everything...
which leads to a lot of blurry photos and sadness.
Soviet analog SLR that came attached to a Helios 44 lens (which was the real reason it was purchased). I recently decided to start getting into analog
photography and remembered I had this thing on my shelf. Conveniently an M42 mount so most everything I have can be switched between the two cameras. It feels
like an absolute tank of camera. More when I start getting some of my film developed.
Update: It's dead. It wasn't working right and I tried to perform surgery. It turned out to be little more than vivisection. I will leave this here as a memorial for our
fallen comrade.
Obtained 2/1/22. This will be my analog workhorse. Provided it works... It seems to be functioning but I haven't developed any film from it yet so we'll see! I got it because Internet People said the Spotmatic was the best M42 mount camera and I wanted to shoot using my Russian lenses.
How I'm scanning in my film. The scans have an effective MP of about 20. I was surprised at how easy it was to use actually. People in reviews seemed to think it was fiddly and cumbersome so we'll see how I feel when the honeymoon period is over.
